EP RELEASE DATE OFFICIAL 16/7/2011

recording!!!!!! EP NEARLY FINISHED

Being optimistic i think that the EP can be released in about 2 weeks. A few hours of solid work on about two of the songs and they shall be done, glitter has already been released. Well maybe abit over two weeks, i could release a 4 track but i want something a bit more significant than that.

i shall decide at a later date. in conclusion to this post, i've nearly finished two more songs on the ep and im very happy with how they're turning out. so weeeew

EP INTRO

Also halfway through the overture to the album. its got quite a few animal collective-esque synth work/ drum samples, but also some old school r'n'b elements similar to that of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, i dunno how to describe it. You can do so yourself when its done :)

wrote bass and drums for a new song and I really like how its sounding, i've got a good feeling about this track, i'll try release in a week or two. :)

Delays

not very happy with how some of the tracks came out, i like the ideas but i don't really like the final product, i think ill move on and start on the other tracks and come back to it later.

New track coming out soon (next week or two) "Paranoia"

almost done recording the first track on my solo  ep
all the synths, drums and basses are recorded, i just have to get my guit out of my mates car and then i can record that, and then vocals last.

Whilst primarily a dance track with a heavy drum 'n' bass influenced beat, the bass has a tone reminiscent of "The Pixies" or "Yuck" and the lead guitar is a cleanish/jangly/cliche indie rock tone with a shitload of lovely hall reverb and delay, and lastly the vocals are going to be overdriven slightly with a clip distortion to crackle the edges a bit and some bright room reverb to fill the track out.

my aspirations for this track are as following: to make a drum'n'bass influenced dance track/punk rave/psychedelic mind-splosion

Sweet, im currently in the final stages of recording my first track just gotta get abit more guitar and vox in, going to promote it as a teaser to the ep.

its kind of like drum n bass/psychedelic/punk/grundge/pop
